Pat is a registered HR Auditor with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) and a certified Gallup Strengths Coach. He received Africa’s HR Leader of the Year in 2011, was inducted into Africa’s HR Hall of Fame in 2012 and in 2014 received the Africa HR Lifetime Achievement Award. He has served as an advisor to numerous Remuneration Committees and Boards of both Private Sector and Public Sector organisations. Pat has been instrumental in the rollout of HR Standards in Southern Africa.

Over the years she has gained experience in facilitating and managing strategy formulation, execution and monitoring & evaluation within a context of business focus on operational efficiencies, productivity, sustainability and profitability in the financial, manufacturing and agriculture business. She has also led change management and productivity projects. Pelani is the Managing Director of Emergence Human Capital Botswana. She is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and researcher.  Pelani spent many working years as a central banker, at Bank of Botswana, in a number of areas such as research, financial markets, corporate services and regulation and supervision of licensed banks and financial institutions. At the central bank, she rose through the ranks from Economist to become Deputy Director of Banking Supervision Department and ultimately Head of Secretariat Department, which she held when she retired in September 2016.  She did research, analysis, advised on and implemented policy, as well as contributed to regular Bank publications including Monthly Review, Quarterly Bulletin and Annual Report, and to Government Budget Speeches and National Development Plans. Pelani earned a MA Economics degree from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1990 and a BA (Economics) from the University of Botswana in 1986.  Pelani has benefited from targeted training in multiple industries.

Thabo Magagula is a Post Graduate CFP student with University of the Free State since 2015.  He has been in the Investment & Pension Fund space for over 10 years as Senior Executive and Director Level. Besides establishing from infancy Stanlib, NBC Swaziland and Interchange (the first bureau de change in Swaziland).  He has served in the Kingdom’s largest Pension Fund as an independent advisor in the Investment Committee from 2006 to 2014 and has participated in its growth since as its part of its five member investment committee from E6B TO E16B.  A forever optimist and futurist financial services entrepreneur is very bullish about Africa and especially the Kingdom of Swaziland.
